Normally when one refers to an epic morning spent at Grandview, West Virginia, a glorious sunrise from one of the overlooks comes to mind. On this particular morning, the sunrise was a bust, as the overlook was completely socked in with a thick fog. After unsuccessfully trying to wait out the fog, my good friend, Bill Fultz and I decided to wander around the woods as some really nice light was starting to illuminate the fog laden forest of Grandview. We drove to a few spots of interest in the park, but nothing was really catching our eye until we came upon this bend in the road. Then things started to become what us landscape photographers call......epic! The sun broke through the fog in a dazzling display of sunbeams unlike any others that I've seen before. I took literally hundreds of shots, but really like this one of my friend Bill shooting from the side of the road. What a morning!
