My favorite place to go out and eat a casual sit down meal is Bob Evans and I've always admired the beautiful photos of Bob Evans Farms that hang on the walls of the restaurant. It's long been a goal of mine to drive down to Rio Grande, Ohio and shoot a sunrise there, but it's quite the drive from Cleveland. So I couldn't resist the opportunity to spend the night in Gallopolis on my return trip home from the mountains last week, in order to have the opportunity to finally catch a sunrise down on the farm. I awoke to a thick fog which hung over the Ohio River, but as I got closer to Rio Grande the fog began to lift, revealing some beautiful high clouds in the sky. I arrived at the farm well before first light and spent some time shooting long exposures of the farm while waiting for sunrise. It wasn't long before I saw the telltale show of pink in the clouds and before long the whole sky lit up in an array of pastel color. One more thing I can scratch off my bucket list!
