Artist's Description

About a month ago my wife and I spent a long weekend down at Cumberland Falls State Park in Kentucky hoping to catch a little fall color. Well, as most of you probably know, the fall color arrived 2 or 3 weeks late this year. But the trip wasn't a total bust for two reasons.....the first being, this was my wife's first trip to Kentucky and secondly, there was a ton of rain making for some really sweet waterfall conditions. I tool advantage of the latter one afternoon and made my first hike to Dog Slaughter Falls. Wow, what an awesome location! The falls were much bigger than I expected and were really flowing well....a little too well for that matter. There was so much water that I had to restrict my shooting from one side of the stream. No worries though... a good excuse to make a return trip in the future!
